Both require surrender to God, completely and with great freedom borne of trust in his goodness and favor.Kithttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16096416193065803876noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3321604364389095781.post-42502315693275213652009-09-04T09:17:37.699-04:002009-09-04T09:17:37.699-04:00Death is so much a part of my life as a nurse...on...Death is so much a part of my life as a nurse...one that has always given me bittersweet reflection. There seems to be, in most people's mind, a stark contrast between life and death, but that has not been my experience. Sometimes, maybe often, death is simply the last breath. I have had the privilege of seeing death come as a sigh released to the arms of a waiting God. However, I have also experienced the terror of watching an agonizing struggle....sometimes more of hanging on than letting go with much fear and regret. There is something to be said about dying as well as you live. I think it true.Death is the ultimate reminder of our mortality....funny how it seems alien to our human experience.I am grateful for stark reminders to shake me out of complacency and remind me that in my disconnect and inability to reach, there is a God who does not have my limitations. He knows the chaos of a broken mind as well as the terrain of a broken heart and He has the tools to navigate them successfully....another reason to trust and be grateful. Our reason, our keen intellect, our insights, even our imaginings are so short sighted and inverted...thank God for His limitless capacity to reach and invite and compensate and apply love, mercy, grace and wisdom where our humanity fails.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12969182891104857570noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3321604364389095781.post-14070407970339290232009-08-31T14:37:50.415-04:002009-08-31T14:37:50.415-04:00Hey Catherine,
